The Minister for Opening Things

Our premier, The-Minister-for-Opening-Things, Mike Rann, has finally listened to the electorate, and has allowed for rational watering restrictions.
It does beg the question however, as to why he did not let his water minister Karlene Maywald make the announcement?
Of course on reflection, it was good-news, and we all know that Mike only likes to announce good news and open things.

Bad news? .................. well he rolls out Karlene, or his other ministers to do that dirty work.

With an election in the air, I wonder if we are to be treated with the re-announcement that he is finally going to "raise the level of Mt. Bold dam" and even build a new reservoir in The Hills. Now that would be good news befitting a Spinmaster who wants to grow the population.
