Political arrogance begets lots of 'spot fires' (click here)

It seems that once politicians get out of step with their community, lots of spot fires need to be monitored and on occasions extinguished.

* Keeping our gardens alive by easing water restrictions to a more rational method being just one.

* The Cheltenham Park (racecourse) is yet another that is really causing political angst.

* The ongoing Burnside Council farce is also a running sore for government.

* The latest issue to start burning pollies is the St. Clair Park re-development.
Again large mature trees are going to be sacrificed for "development" and the usual promise that little trees will be planted to replace them in a new park development elsewhere over contaminated land is supposed make us all happy.

* And the growing question being asked by the community at large is why is Rann so against establishing an ICAC?
