A letter to Mick, Jaye and Kevin

Dear Mick Atkinson, Jaye Weatherill and Kevin Foley,

Just a quick request to follow up on an old election promise (made in Opposition).

When are you going to re-open Barton Terrace to "The Westies" as promised prior to the 2002 election.
Many of us have waited and waited for a long time now. Sorry for the repetition but you understand that style.

Many months ago, I did ask The Minister for Opening Things, Mike Rann via his ridiculous Twitter site about keeping his pledge to re-open Barton Terrace. It seemed a natural request since he loves opening things. His response was a curt "Here's some bad news. It's not a priority." Thanks Premier!

The growing list of broken promises is getting to be a bit of a burden. Like the raising of Mt. Bold Dam to double its capacity (capturing all the water that flowed out to sea recently). The last dam was built in 1979 too. No wonder we are short of H2O.

If you have no plan to carry out your promises ............... don't make the promise in the first place! You always get caught out. My parents always taught me never to lie. Good advice.

Finally, whilst I have your attention, do you remember how Spinmaster Mike obtained government in 2002?
By courting Independents.
Yep, that's how he got into government.
The Libs might do the same this time round since he set the precedent. There will be lots more independents this time. Some of them would love to be Ministers of the Crown.
Not that I barrack for the Libs, I am just so disappointed with this governments S.P.I.N.
