The public backlash against Tom Koutsanonis was overwhelming, and just after midday, he tendered his resignation as road safety minister. His position was of course untenable.
However Premier Rann who supported Tom as road transport minister and refused to sack him, still keeps him on in the ministry. Huh!
More trouble ahead?
Which makes me revisit the big question, why does Mike Rann and this government refuse to establish an independent Commission against Crime and Corruption (ICACC)? Most other states have one, and have uncovered corruption and criminal activities that were previously unknown to the community.
