If my interpretation reading the newspapers is correct, the Save St. Clair Park group has succeeded in saving St. Clair Park from a land swap. That's all we wished to achieve.
Perhaps it’s now time to take a deep breath and enjoy the Festive Season that's almost upon us.
The corruption allegations against Mick Atkinson are just that, allegations made in parliament.
To be fair, we should allow Michael the opportunity of putting his side of the story should he wish to do so. I have been as vocal as anyone, but I have not had the opportunity of hearing his side of the story and I for one would appreciate hearing it, just to keep the balance on the St.Clair Facebook site fair and democratic.
Who would want to be a politician these days, I understand that they put themselves up for office, so be it, but we should also consider the affect these issues must have on pollies families, particularly their school age children. It must affect them. They are the innocent victims of ‘people power’.
Lets have a break cherish our success and give Atkinson the opportunity to put his case should he wish to do so, ............. and Happy Christmas to you all.
