It seems that despite the efforts of Stateline ABC Adelaide, again highlighting the fact that 20% of Adelaide's trees died last year, no one really seems to care.
Even the street in which I live, council planted trees the length of the street 5 years ago. Almost all of them are now dead or close too it, due to no continuing irrigation regime by council after their initial 2 years of watering. They have not encouraged the residents to water the trees either.
I am surprised that the local residents don't look after the dying tree in front of their home. But it seems they have been convinced by government to not water the trees and to replace everything with plastic lawns and plants.
It is personally so sad for me to see this lack of sypmathy and care for our environment by council, residents and government.
