St.Clair protest group growing by the day (click here)

The Facebook group attempting to turn around Charles Sturt Council motion (with SA government support) to put housing on St. Clair Park, is growing daily.
There are now 750 'members' a growth of 350 in just a few days.
There logo is featured on this blog >>>>

For Attorney General Michael Atkinson to refer to the hundreds of people who attended the protest meeting on Monday evening, 23rd. November, as "rent-a-crowd" is disappointing and inaccurate.

My mother insisted on being there, before I had made up my mind to attend. She is 86 years of age, and is not for rent.!!

I normally give Michael Atkinson his due, in that unlike his leader, Spin-master Premier Mike Rann, Atkinson does not normally get involved in spin and emotive terms like 'rent-a-crowd'
That sort of inaccurate terminology just rankles people further.

I was there, we were very well behaved, even in good humour it could be said, but determined not to accept Council's decision to build a new park over a contaminated industrial site, and allow houses to be built on the existing park.

Why oh why is council and the SA government so out of touch with their community now.
