A Royal Commission into the Murray-Darling needed (click here)

We the people of South Australia have been largely disenfranchised due to a weak opposition and an increasingly arrogant government.

To blame climate change (Karlene prefers to call it "a drought") is to cop out of solving the problem of our near dead river and lakes. Droughts come and go, this is not-a-drought Karlene. Get used to climate change!

Over allocation for decades and we could see this disaster coming.
When the Murray mouth closed over for the first time decades ago, it was warning us of it's imminent death. No one listened.

The Rann government years ago said it would raise the level of the Mt. Bold dam. What has happened to that project?
The panic has set in with lack of water in Adelaide and SA. The desalination plant is a panic move due to years of inaction.
Salisbury is to be congratulated in it's leadership. But the government has a 50 year plan.
March 2010 is our last chance for the people to take control of our destiny.
If the Opposition can't get it's act together, the only alternative is a team of independents to be elected.
Set up a Royal Commission into the Murray-Darling.
