Remember Barton Tce promise?

Remember, leading up to the 2002 state election, the ALP promising to open up Barton Terrace in North Adelaide to the western suburbs again?

Here we are almost eight years later, Barton Terrace is still closed to public access and only the buses are permitted to 'invade' the leafy North Adelaide residents. The closure with new trees planted, has a real look of permanancy about it now.

How soon most of us forget and how forgiving we are.
