Australia's Prime Mnister, 'Kevin from Queensland', seems to have forgotten about South Australia's dire water woes.
I suppose it is to be expected that a Prime Minister who comes from a statewhich is two thirds under water, could not comprehend how dry it is here in South Australia.
Last week we had 10mm of rain, the first rain for three months, and we were hailing it as a deluge. Friends of mine in New Zealand laughed and said in NZ they call that drizzle.
It is not ok for our bureaucratic PM to forget our plight.
So far the only person fighting for SA is our Senator Xenophon. Penny Wong seems to be Senator for Queensland, I doubt many people even realise she is actually a Senator for South Australia. You wouldn't know it would you?
God, it has taken seven years for even our "Premier of Spin", 12 months out from an election, to finally understand that South Australians are demanding action, no more historic agreements or massive talk fests. Action! And we want it now.
The Lakes are dead, the Murray is near death and our PM is the last man on the planet to understand it.
I feel that we will finally get federal action and soon, once the PM gets whiff that the states are going to go for each others throats.
