I can't imagine anyone wishing to insult the much loved and respected former Governor of SA, Marjorie Jackson-Nelson. Just because Mike wanted to name his new hospital after her has nothing to do with respect or disdain for her.
Be a big man Mike and tell it as it really is, almost nobody in SA wanted the traditional name Royal Adelaide Hospital lost, even if it was to be re-named the Mike Rann Hospital. It had nothing to do with Marj at all, just you own shortsighted lack of contact with the community that you are supposed to represent on our behalf.
If you and your minders can start to listen to those who elected you, this "embarrasing backflip" would never have occured.
Maybe now, some sense will get back into this issue of the development of a new state-of-the-art hospital in South Australia.
