How about Mike reshuffle himself out of the leadership?

Of course, Mike could really make a massive ( his favourite word) reshuffle and reshuffle himself out of the premiership. That would really be seen to be on the cusp of a new era!
He is no longer respected by many, and I still doubt he reads the letters to editor and listens to talkback radio, that's for others to do.
As Katherine Tate would say.... "I'm above it" KS.

Sections of the Labor Party have been gabbling over what they say are plans for a reshuffle of State Cabinet.

According to the rumours, Premier Mike Rann has approached Police and Emergency Services Michael Wright and asked him to stand aside to make way for new talent. He is said to have refused and threatened to resign from Parliament if he was dumped from the Ministry, forcing the Government to a by-election for his seat of Lee.

Late this afternoon, Mr Wright described those rumours as "absolute rubbish".

ALP insiders say ministers Carmel Zollo and Rory McEwen have therefore been told of a declination for their continued presence in Cabinet. Their replacements are claimed to be Tom Koutsantonis and Michael O'Brien, with Chloe Fox and Grace Portolesi making a gender appeal on the grounds that Carmel Zollo’s replacement should also be a woman.

The Premier’s office denies the story saying there is no reshuffle imminent, but other Ministerial staffers are far from convinced that the present Ministry will last until the next election.
